Port O'Connor Paddling Trail
Is this the one you are talking about? It's 12.3 miles and ends at Matagorda Island:

Re: Port O'Connor Paddling Trail
Yeah, seems like the right length for a full paddle day. There are o others which are shorter and more like day hikes. If you don'T want to sleep on an island without facilities, then we could stay on the beach and take one or more shorter trips.
Maybe we should take a beach primer. We need to see if Mike is serious about coming this trip because i don't think ready for ultralight camping.

Re: Port O'Connor Paddling Trail
We can take mine. Or, rent a yak down there but it's kind of expensive at $55/day.
Yeah I'm thinking leave Austin 5am Saturday, get there around 9am, paddle and catch huge fish all day, camp on one of the islands (not sure which one), paddle and fish Sunday, and leave around noon.
Three day trip is possible too.

Special Note: Persons can continue to utilize the Sunday Beach area, accessed via boat from either the Gulf or Pass Cavallo, for camping, beach combing, fishing, and bird watching. There are no fees, permits, or restrictions on the use of this area.
